From the time she was a kid growing up on a cattle farm, Dr. Jess has always loved the outdoors. Even as a grown up it’s hard to get her to sit still and be indoors. She’s always looking for something to do outside (including checking out your trees!)

Dr. Jess is also a lifelong fan of education. After receiving her Bachelor’s in Zoology she went on to earn her Masters and PhD in Forest Entomology (tree bugs), but she wasn’t done there. While working as a professor of forest health she also completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology and is currently a Masters student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Wright State.

Whether it’s people or trees, Dr. Jess in infinitely interested in the things that make them tick (pun intended)!
